Coverdash Chief of Staff Job Description

Coverdash is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief of Staff to join its leadership team and work together with the Coverdash CEO and other members of senior leadership in achieving strategic goals. The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, provide strategic direction and guidance to the organization, and program-manage cross functional initiatives to support our growth and success. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business / project management with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration (Operations, Hiring, Scaling, HR, etc.). What You’ll be Resposible For:

  • Strategic Advisory: Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and implement the company's strategic plan and manage progress against goals.

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives across multiple departments and run the program office through collaboration with senior management and department leaders.

  • Communications: Drive internal communication of strategy, ensuring that all employees are informed and engaged in the company's mission and priorities jointly with the communications department.

  • Strategic Hiring: Develop and execute a forward-thinking hiring strategy across diverse industries, including insurance, software engineering, C-suite, product management, and operations roles.

  • Onboarding Excellence: Guarantee a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, facilitating their smooth transition into the company. Your attention to detail will shine as you oversee legal paperwork, HR system setup, and other essential onboarding procedures.

  • HR and Benefits: Manage and optimize our HR operations. From maintaining employee records to overseeing payroll and benefits administration, you'll ensure our HR processes run efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human respirces, management, engineering or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a strategic role, with experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.

  • Exceptional program office management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a people-first fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in HR management software, particularly Rippling, is highly desirable.

The pay range for this role is: $100-$170k plus a competitive equity package.

Coverdash is a Virtual First Workplace with an office location in NYC. This role can be based anywhere in the U.S as long as you can work our Coverdash core collaboration hours (9:00 am-5:00 pm Eastern Time).
