The Opportunity

Come join Coverdash’s Insurance Sales Team! As a Commercial Insurance Producer, you will support small to medium sized commercial accounts by quoting and rating new business leads, collaborating with a team of in-house producers, and developing expertise in SMB insurance. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career while helping businesses find the right coverage solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with clients across diverse industries, applying your expertise in small business operations to assess risk exposures and recommend customized insurance solutions that safeguard their assets.
  • Collaborate with leading insurance carriers to design and deliver coverage solutions that meet each client’s unique needs.
  • Utilize our proprietary broker-focused technology platform, providing ongoing insights to enhance platform functionality, performance, and efficiency.

Work Environment: Coverdash is a remote-first workplace with an office location in NYC. We offer complete flexibility with this role, which can be based anywhere in the United States. Working hours align with your time zone: 9am-6pm ET for those on the East Coast, or 8am-5pm PT for those on the West Coast.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Sell Property & Casualty (P&C) commercial insurance products to new and existing clients.
  • Use our CRM system to manage and prioritize daily activities, document progress, and conduct consistent outreach to prospective clients to support ongoing relationship development.
  • Prepare and deliver insurance quotes by navigating carrier and wholesale platforms, gathering supplemental applications via phone or other communication channels, and coordinating complete submissions to underwriters while aligning each risk with the most appropriate markets.
  • Serve as a trusted Insurance advisor by identifying client risk exposures and recommending tailored insurance solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and wholesale partners to improve placement opportunities and achieve optimal results.
  • Drive new policy sales and ensure a smooth handoff to the account manager to support an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of commercial insurance experience, ideally within E&S lines
  • Active P&C license in good standing
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of inbound submissions and warm transfers
  • Strong experience navigating multiple E&S and admitted carriers for rating, quoting, and placement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong broker relationships, providing clear guidance on products, coverage options, pricing, and underwriting requirements.
  • Self starter with strong problem solving skills and a track record of driving results
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and working collaboratively with a team
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technology, carrier portals, and underwriting systems
  • Experience with CRM/AMS systems and comparative rating tools
  • Bonus: Experience in insurtech, an MGA, E&S underwriting, or a startup environment

The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $125,000 OTE, based on target commission / base pay.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks.

Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
